The TNIUS Library is one of the major urban development resources in Tamil Nadu (India) since 1981. It is one of the leading library for research and references with a very good collection of books, journals, government publications and institute publications for urban development research. Library operations are mostly computerized especially circulation of books and OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue).
BOOKS
The library's present collection of the books have about 5377 volumes. The collection of books are particularly rich in the areas of Financial Management, Municipal Finance, Public Administration, Women Studies, Urban Planning and Engineering and Community Development.
PERIODICALS
The Institute's library is receiving around 64 Indian and foreign journals, Magazines and News Letters. These are received either through subscription or on a complimentary basis. The list of current year periodicals subscribed is given below.

Government orders and tender documentation related to urban affairs displaying Government Orders issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu and Tender Documents of Urban Local Bodies. The circulars and important instructions issued by the Heads of Departments involved in the management of urban affairs of the state are also presented.
